We took Abel to the air show yesterday and it was the best ever! He’s always loved airplanes and helicopters — we have to stop whatever we’re doing to watch them whenever they fly over our house. If we’re inside and he hears one, he makes me take him to the window so he can see it, and he’s always waving at them and blowing them kisses. So, needless to say, the air show was a big hit. I’ve honestly never seen so many huge smiles from him in such a short period of time. He would get so excited every time a plane flew by, pointing, laughing, and saying, “More, more.”
We got there just before the Blue Angels were about the start their performance, so it was perfect timing. Their show was amazing, and Abel loved every minute. Afterward, we walked around and looked at all the planes and helicopters on display. Abel even got to get in the cockpit of a helicopter and press all the buttons — he loved it!
Watching him have so much fun was one of the best feelings in the world. I’m so glad we got to soak in this special time with just him before we become a family of four in a few weeks.
Speaking of which, I’ve pretty much got everything ready for when our baby girl gets here. Yay! All her clothes are washed, the bassinet is set up in our room, my hospital bag is almost packed, and her nursery is mostly done. The only thing I left to do in her nursery is find and put up some art on the walls; they’re totally bare right now. I don’t why I’m having such a hard time finding anything that matches and feels like it would look good in there. Once I do, I’ll have to do a nursery reveal blog post. Can’t wait!
